Patti
LuPone

This Tony, Grammy, and Olivier Award winner is "the American musical theater's greatest living star" (San Francisco Chronicle). In this production, Ms. LuPone takes the audience on a marvelous journey through her long and triumphant career in theater, both on Broadway and around the world. Her inimitable voice and commanding stage presence earned her the Tony for her role of Argentine First Lady Eva Perón in the original Broadway production of Evita, as well as for her role as Mama Rose in Gypsy, and she won the Olivier Award for her portrayal of Fantine in the original London production of Les Misérables. In this delightful performance, Ms. LuPone performs the songs from roles in musicals that she could have played, would have played, or should have played, along with those that she did play or will be playing. Included in the program will be songs from Hair, Bye Bye Birdie, Funny Girl, West Side Story, and Peter Pan, and, of course, from Gypsy and Evita. "A singular stage force... many try, but few have the knockout punch of LuPone." (The Washington Post)
