Welcome to the 2009 presentation of ARTS by George! Experience an evening like no other at George Mason University’s magnificent Center for the Arts in Fairfax, Virginia!

Imagine a night of marvelous music, delicious dance, tempting theater, vibrant visual art, and creative cuisine. Your journey of discovery begins in the Center for the Arts Concert Hall Lobby, where you will be greeted by an Ambassador to the Arts who will provide you with information to plan your itinerary: a guide to your evening of discovery.   As your route enfolds, you will enjoy brief, engaging presentations by talented Mason students and faculty in a variety of "behind-the-scenes" studio environments.  You will also pass through our unique arts-related silent auction where you will have the opportunity to bid on an array of arts experiences and items. A sampling of sumptuous food and plentiful bars will add delicious flavor to your experiences throughout the evening.  

After you have savored the remarkable talent of the Arts at Mason – and feasted well – you will arrive at the Concert Hall. There, you will be ushered to premium seats for the 8 P.M. performance featuring Brian Stokes Mitchell, in a return engagement after an overwhelming response to his appearance last year, with The American Festival Pops Orchestra.

After the concert, you will join Brian Stokes Mitchell on the Concert Hall stage for an elegant champagne and dessert reception.
